Golfing with my Dad & Grandma & Grandpa

I got to go on my first golf outing over Memorial Day weekend.  My Grandma and Grandpa were going to Oakville to golf and my Dad wanted to go golf too so I got to go along.  My mom rode around in the cart and watched.  I don't think she knows how to golf.  I had so much fun in the cart!  I liked it when my dad drove crazy.  Sometimes I rode on his lap and pretended to steer.  It seemed like we had to drive in zig zags looking for his balls.  He seemed a bit crabby about it. I was going to call him a SliceO'Potamus but Mom said he wouldn't think it was funny.  On one hole my Grandpa was looking for his ball and his golf cart started to roll away!  It was so funny watching him run after it.  Plus I got a hot dog, a hamburger, and an ice cream bar.  Yummy! I started trying to practice my swing toward the end of the round.  Everyone said I did a good job.  Maybe I'll be the female Tiger Woods when I grow up.  I was really tired by the end though and I slept a long time afterword!

Barn Chores

Now that I'm old enough I help my mom and dad with barn chores.  Well mostly my dad.  My mom just watches now or only does easy stuff like fill water buckets.  I think my dad can't wait till she has the baby and does her own work again.  My favorite thing to do is give Falcon and Bill Bedding. Once you get the pellets wet they poof up real big and its super fun to play with.  Although my dad gets a little cranky when I just get handfuls and fling it around the barn.  He taught me that I'm supposed to put it in the stalls so I try now.  Falcon and Bill were outside eating grass yesterday so I got to go in their stalls with my dad!  It was awesome - I've been trying to get in there forever but my mom never lets me.  Something about getting kicked and trampled.  I've never seen my dad get kicked or trampled though so I think she might be making it up.

More Tree Pictures

The Perfect Christmas Tree

We went to cut down our Christmas tree this weekend in Oregon.  It was so much fun!  The weather was pretty warm.  Dad was really hot but mom says he is hot blooded.  All I know is I got to take my hat off toward the end so I was happy.  Even though I really like my little Carhart hat.  We took my cousins Corey and Colton with us so they could get a tree too.  They picked out one for my Neema and Papa and I helped pick out one for me.  There were carts to haul your tree back with that I got to sit on while my dad cut down trees.  We only took one cart with us so my cousins pulled their tree back on it and my dad just drug ours.  Colton was in charge of pulling his tree and he sure was complaining a lot.  He tried to get my mom to pull it but she was carrying me so she wasn't much help.  She talked Corey into pushing the cart while I pulled.  It looked like hard work but they did a good job getting it back to the main station.  Santa and Mrs. Claus were at the main station and my mom and dad decided to have me sit on his lap.  I DID NOT LIKE IT!  They even sent Colton with me but I just wanted off.  Santa is scary up close!  I hope this doesn't upset him - he can still bring me presents.  I was pretty worn out from my adventure and slept all the way home.  I'll post some pictures from our tree adventure soon.

Snow

It started snowing this morning and hasn't quit yet.  We went to my Neema and Papas house today.  When we got back home tonight my dad shoveled the driveway.  I got to go outside and see the snow after he was done.  My mom took this picture of us.  It was really pretty fluffy snow.  My dad put up some Christmas lights this year and it looked very festive.  I am still not sure if I like the snow or not.  Its fun to look at....its kind of cold though when you are out in it!

Decorating for Christmas

My mom was chomping at the bit to get the Christmas decorations out this year.  So the day after Thanksgiving my dad started helping her dig out all the boxes with decorations in them.  I went in the basement with my dad to help him find them.  Then I got to do something really fun - he put me on top of the tote and carried me all the way upstairs!  It was really really fun.  I got to do it a couple of times.  My mom found us and took this picture so I could show you all how much fun I was having.  I should get people to carry me around like this all the time.  Maybe my dad can build me a carriage....
